A Sidemount Specialty Course

During a Sidemount Specialty Course student divers will learn how to Properly assemble and configure sidemount scuba diving equipment; Trim your weight system and sidemount gear so you’re perfectly balanced in the water; Manage gas by switching second stages as planned, if wearing two cylinders and Respond correctly to potential problems when sidemount diving. It’s a great course which is getting very popular and therefore it is a great choice when deciding which specialty Instructor rating to get.The Sidemount Specialty Instructor Course can be taken on its own or as part of the Master Scuba Diver Trainer preparation course.

The PADI IDC takes place at Trawangan Dive which was actually the first ever established PADI 5 Star IDC Career Development Center (CDC) in Lombok and the Gili Islands and today remains the only PADI CDC Center in Gili Trawangan. The Dive Center has also won numerous awards over the years for their high level of commitment and dedication to the recreational dive industry, as well as their commitment to professional level training. Trawangan Dive is physically the biggest dive center in Gili Trawangan and is also one of the largest certifiers of PADI recreational Courses in Indonesia and therefore a great opportunity for new instructor to gain experience by team teaching alongside our highly experienced instructors.

The PADI IDC Gili Islands program is run on and 11 day schedule; however candidates are strongly advised to arrive at least 5 days prior to the start of the program to take advantage of the free pre IDC preparation; which is basically a series of workshops designed to review the Divemaster skills, knowledge and theory and allow candidates to enter the Instructor Course on and equal setting.
