Are you a professional Divemaster looking to take your PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC)? Do you love diving and also wish to learn about one of the best dive locations in the world?

The PADI IDC Gili Trawangan is one of the best places in the world to take your PADI professional scuba training. The Gili IDC Indonesia runs the Instructor Development Course every month at Trawangan Dive, the only PADI Career Development Center (CDC) in the Gili Islands. The course is designed to train candidates to the highest possible standard, over and above that generally expected within the industry. The course is conduct over a 10 day period and prospective candidates are advised to take a minimum of 4 days pre IDC prep before the start of the course.

Komodo is considered to be one of the best diving locations in the world, with its strong currents, biodiversity and highly professional livaboard outfits. Swift currents attract an abundance of Manta rays, Giant trevallies, sharks, turtles, sea snakes, colourful nudibranchs, more than 1,000 species of fish, and at least 14 species of whales and dolphins that make Komodo National Park their home. With some 260 species of reef-building coral and 70 species of sponges, the 1204 km2 of protected marine reserve will satisfy the multitude of cravings of all levels of scuba divers.

Blue Marlin Komodo operates their own first class livaboard operation. The Ikan Biru, our newly refurbished “CCR friendly” 20 metre teak Pinisi liveaboard, and is providing custom itineraries around the famous marine park. The Ikan Biru caters to both recreational and rebreather divers.

Our newest PADI IDC Career package consists of combining the highly professional IDC course in Gili Trawangan and the first class livaboard operational training on the Blue Marlin Komodo Livaboard. Once candidates have completed the PADI and EFR Instructor training in Gili Trawangan they will travel to Labuan Bajo to Blue Marlin where they will meet our Livaboard team. During their time with the Livaboard Team they will learn about all aspects of running a successful livaboard operation from pre-trip organisation to actually shadowing our cruise director during the trip and learning every aspect of logistical and practical organisation. Of course you will also learn first-hand about diving in some of the best and most challenging conditions the world has to offer, and at the same time seeing some of the best marine life possible.

The PADI IDC Gili Islands + Komodo Livaboard Training Career Program is designed for people who do not only want to be a PADI Instructor, but really want to learn about the diving industry and gain some real first-hand experience with one of the most established scuba operators in Indonesia.
