PADI IDC STAFF INSTRUCTOR

Help to develop the next generation of PADI Instructors

As an experienced PADI Instructor, you possess the ability to help shape the future of PADI Instructor Development. You can help by using your knowledge, wisdom and real life experience to assist up and coming PADI Instructors to provide best dive education possible whilst also furthering you own PADI education and making the next step into PADI Instructor Development.

As a PADI Staff Instructor you are able to expand your skill set and the range of courses that you can conduct. PADI Staff Instructors can teach many parts of the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) and can independently teach the PADI Assistant Instructor Course.

There are many benefits to taking the PADI Staff Instructor Course. If you are looking to become a PADI Course Director in the future you will gain hands on experience of transforming Divemaster and Assistant Instructors into PADI Open Water Instructors by presenting specific parts of the PADI Instructor Development Course. Other benefits can be seen with your personal career prospects. Many dive center management positions request this rating and level of experience.

The course itself requires candidates to sit through the entire PADI IDC. During the course you will be required to present a chosen topic from the syllabus and you will also be expected to work with both the IDC team and the candidates to develop their knowledge and skills. During the course you will be evaluating candidates in open water, confined water and in their individual presentations.

The PADI IDC Staff Course will generally start a few days before the IDC whereby our PADI Course Director will explain the course curriculum and the course requirements. You will be shown how to deliver the PADI Assistant Instructor Course effectively and your role within the IDC will be explained.
