PADI AWARDS 2021

2021 PADI Platinum & Elite-300 Instructor Award – 8th Year in a Row – Gili IDC

IDC

Another year rolls around and once again PADI Course Director Holly Macleod has been awarded the PADI Platinum and PADI Elite-300 awards for the 8th consecutive year in a row.

The PADI Platinum Course Director rating is the highest possible recognition awarded to only a few Course Directors worldwide each year in recognition of their instructor training achievements and overall commitment to professional-level educational excellence. The PADI Elite Instructor Award Program recognizes PADI Instructors for reaching specific milestones based on the number of certifications issued annually. So therefore the Elite-300 denotes over 300 certifications issued by that particular instructor.

Over the years Holly has trained tens of thousands of divers, which has fuelled a love and commitment to dive training and diving. Working within the dive industry allowed Holly the ability to combine this passion with a love of travelling. Having a wealth of industry experience in a range of different geographical diving locations including Honduras, Thailand, Australia, UK, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia & Singapore and having issued well 3000 PADI Instructor certifications in the Gili Islands alone, Holly has designed the perfect professional diving instructor training program available within the recreational diving industry. The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) designed by Holly provides new scuba diving instructors with a standard of training well over and above that generally found within the industry and well beyond that required by the PADI IDC syllabus. The entire course is entirely conducted by Holly and is specifically designed to provide new scuba diving instructors with the highest level of skills, knowledge and confidence to go on to be highly successful teaching others to dive.

Having been issued with both Awards for the past 8 years in a row is fantastic and not only provides recognition for professional achievements, but is also a demonstration of the passion that PADI Course Director Holly Macleod has had for dive training spanning nearly 20 years.

2020 was in some ways a difficult year, but for instructor training it was once again a great year. One of the great things about teaching instructor training is that it allows Holly to meet likeminded dive professionals with a range of different experiences and from a variety of different backgrounds and different countries, but always sharing a similar passion for diving. During 2020 Holly met instructor candidates from Indonesia (both Jakarta and Flores), India, Hong Kong, China, Poland, USA, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Holland, Italy, Sweden, South Africa, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, France, Australia, Korea, Portugal, Singapore, Canada and Greece. All finished the PADI Scuba Diving Instructor Development Course (IDC) and became certified PADI Scuba Diving Instructors.

For the coming year the Gili Islands PADI IDC Schedule is already available and Holly is very much looking forward to providing the usual high levels of quality training that has previously made the program one of the best instructor level training experiences available within the recreational diving industry.
