Although we do run a pre IDC preparation workshops it’s a good idea to purchase the crew pack early and get started on the theory. The best way to get started would be to review the theory using your divemaster materials, practicing planning dives using the Recreational Dive Planer (RDP) and reviewing the encyclopedia of recreational diving.
During the pre IDC preparation workshops you will review the course material and practice any portions of the course that you may find the more difficult. Usually the preparation will take the form of a physics and physiology portions of the IDC curriculum as these tend to be the areas of most concern.
Of course if your taking your IDC directly after you complete the PADI Divemaster Course you will already be fluent with your dive skills, but however if you have not taken you Divemaster recently you may need to review your skills during the preparation workshop and of course during the actual course you will begin to master these skill to demonstration standards.
Buying the crew pack early is an excellent idea as it allows you to firstly familiarize your selves with the pack find out exactly what is there in it and along with course schedule you can establish what you can use for various portions of the course.
