The new PADI Divemaster Course has less dive theory for dive professionals than in the past. Ayala still believes you need the theory not only to pass the Instructor Examination, but also to be able to explain it to eager and inquisitive students in the future. Therefore all dive theory topics are thoroughly covered during the PADI IDC and Ayala assumes no prior knowledge.
